Innsbruck: Italian Book Week
From 22 to 26 May 2023, the third edition of the Italian Book Week in Innsbruck is scheduled, organised by the Dante Alighieri Society of Innsbruck in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Vienna, the City of Innsbruck, the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Innsbruck and the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna.
The initiative aims to stimulate cultural reflection through reading, presenting works and writers that encourage communication and discussion with the public.
The event will take place over five days, during which interviews with Italian authors will be conducted and published on the social channels of the Dante Alighieri Society of Innsbruck (Facebook and Instagram) on the topic “Women: multiple facets of a single reality.” On the last day, a reading of passages from the novels of Alessandro Manzoni and Italo Calvino will be organised at the local bookshop Daffodils, on the occasion of their respective anniversaries (150th anniversary of Manzoni’s death; 100th anniversary of Calvino’s birth)
