E poi è arrivato un drago
Un albo illustrato che incoraggia a esprimere, accogliere, comprendere e gestire le emozioni negative. Elio si sveglia al mattino, ma rimane sotto le coperte: la mamma ha aperto le tende e fuori c’è il sole. È una bella giornata, ma per Elio c’è troppa luce… meglio restare in quella tana buia ancora per un po’. Elio ha fatto un brutto sogno e, incoraggiato dalla mamma, lo racconta: «Un gigante puzzolente ci catturava e ci voleva mangiare. Poi però ci siamo salvati… ma con uno dei suoi piedoni ha distrutto la nostra casa». Elio abbassa gli occhi e continua: «E poi è arrivato un drago tutto rosso e ci ha mangiati. E alla fine ha fatto la cacca e noi siamo diventati… cacca per sempre!» conclude, scoppiando a piangere. «E se quello che ho sognato esistesse davvero?» Tocca alla mamma trovare le parole e i gesti giusti per rassicurare il suo bambino.

Silvia D’Achille, dopo gli studi universitari a Venezia, si trasferisce a Firenze per lavorare come redattrice presso la casa editrice Giunti. Si occupa per diversi anni del marchio Dami Editore e nel 2010 diventa l’editor responsabile dell’intera produzione prescolare e delle prime letture Giunti. Per vent’anni si occupa di redazione, progettazione editoriale, ideazione di collane e di scrittura testi. Segue collane come “Bollicine”, “Leggo io”, “Tea” e licensing come Peppa Pig e Bing. Nel 2023 lascia il lavoro in Giunti e diventa editor freelance. Nel 2024 pubblica come autrice libri per Il Battello a vapore, Il Castoro e Giunti.
Anna Simeone è un’illustratrice freelance per bambini che vive a Sopot, in Polonia. Dopo essersi laureata in Letteratura a Gdańsk, ha trascorso 10 anni in Italia ed è poi tornata nella sua città natale insieme al marito, alla loro figlia e al loro cane. Negli anni ha illustrato svariati libri per bambini per case editrici di tutto il mondo, in particolare in Polonia, Italia, Francia e Regno Unito. Nel creare le sue opere cerca di catturare i momenti gioiosi della vita di tutti i giorni. Le vivaci palette di colori che utilizza nel suo lavoro si ispirano alle cose che la circondano, dalle verdure ai fiori di stagione, dalla porcellana di seconda mano al pelo del suo cane e molto altro ancora. Adora lavorare sia con le tecniche tradizionali, come matite colorate e acquerelli, sia con i mezzi digitali.
And Then a Dragon Came Along

Elio wakes up in the morning but hides under the covers: his mom has opened the curtains and the sun is shining outside. It’s a beautiful day, but light is too bright for Elio… it’s better to stay in his dark den a little longer. Elio had a bad dream, and he tells it to his mom who encourages him: “A stinky giant captured us and wanted to eat us. But then we managed to escape… but with one of his big feet he destroyed our house.” Elio lowers his eyes and continues: “And then a big red dragon came and ate us. And in the end, he pooped and we became… poop forever!” he concludes, bursting into tears. “What if my dream was real?” It’s up to his mom to find the right words and gestures to reassure her child.

Silvia D’Achille graduated in Venice and moved to Florence to work as an editor at Giunti publishing house. She managed Dami Editore brand and in 2010 became the editor in chief of Giunti’s entire preschool and early readers lines. She supervised series such as “Bollicine,” “Leggo io,” “Tea,” and licensed products like Peppa Pig and Bing. In 2023, she decided to work as a freelance editor. In 2024, she wrote several books published by Il Battello a Vapore, Il Castoro, and Giunti.
Anna Simeone is a freelance children’s illustrator living in Sopot, Poland. She graduated in Literature in Gdańsk, then she lived for 10 years in Italy before returning to her hometown with her husband, daughter, and dog. Over the years, she has illustrated children’s books for publishers worldwide, in Poland, Italy, France, and the UK. In her work, she captures joyful moments of everyday life. Her vibrant color palettes are inspired by surroundings – from vegetables to seasonal flowers, vintage porcelain to her dog’s fur. She loves working with traditional techniques, such as colored pencils and watercolors, as well as digital media.

安娜·西梅奥内是一位儿童图书的自由插画师，现居波兰的索波特。她在格但斯克获得文学学位后，曾在意大利生活十年，之后与丈夫、女儿和他们养的小狗一起回到家乡。多年来，她为世界各地的出版社绘制了多本童书，特别是在波兰、意大利、法国和英国。她致力于捕捉日常生活中的小确幸。她的作品色彩鲜艳，灵感来源于身边的各种事物，比如蔬菜、应季的花朵、二手瓷器，还有她狗狗的毛发等等。她喜欢使用彩铅、水彩等传统工具，也用数字绘画方式创作。
