Sixth edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market.

The sixth edition of the Book Adaptation Rights Market of the Venice Production Bridge will take place at the Hotel Excelsior on the Lido di Venezia from 3 to 5 September, as part of the 78th. Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica of the Biennale. The Book Adaptation Rights Market will provide 26 international publishing houses and literary agencies with a dedicated area of the Venice Production Bridge and the possibility of one-to-one meetings between publishers and producers. The meetings will provide the opportunity to develop lasting relationships and to conclude agreements regarding the film adaptation of novels, dramas, children’s literature, short stories, comic books, essays and biographies. As opposed to other events dedicated to publishing within the context of Film Festivals, the Book Adaptation Rights Market will enable the invited publishers to propose their entire catalogue for film adaptation, rather than focusing on a single book or volume. A brochure containing all publishers and literary agents and their new titles, as well as their catalogue, will be sent in advance to all registered producers. The 26 publishers and literary agents invited to this edition of the BookAdaptation Rights Market are: Actes Sud (France), Agenzia Letteraria Malatesta (Italy), Andrew Nurnberg Associates (UK), De Bezige Bij (Netherlands), DeA Planeta Libri (Italy), Diogenes Verlag (Switzerland), Éditions de l’Homme Sans Nom (France), Editis (France), Editorial Anagrama (Spain), Editorial Planeta (Spain), Elisabeth Ruge Agentur GmbH (Germany), Feltrinelli Editore (Italy), Giulio Einaudi Editore (Italy), Grandi e Associati (Italy), Gruppo Editoriale Mauri Spagnol (Italy), Marcel Hartges Literatur- und Filmagentur (Germany), Michael Gaeb Literary Agency (Germany), Mondadori Libri (Italy), Northern Stories Literary Agency (Norway), Robert Laffont (France), Sellerio (Italy), Singel Uitgeverijen (The Netherlands), Sperling & Kupfer – Piemme – Mondadori Ragazzi (Italy), Suhrkamp Verlag (Germany), Tunué (Italy), Ullstein Buchverlage GmbH (Germany).
