Summer residency for translators: deadline extended to 30 April 2023!

The Centro per il Libro e la Lettura and the Fondazione Ugo Da Como (Lonato del Garda – Bs) are organising the “ESSAYS” project for the second year. The project consists of a summer residency next July for foreign translators of Italian books, with a focus on non-fiction, popular science, medicine, customs and society, technology, literature and philosophy.

For 2023, places are reserved for German, English and French mother tongue translators. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation takes care of the dissemination through its network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Cultural Institutes.
