Munchen: Antonella Lattanzi

On 25 May 2023, at 7 p.m., at the Italian Cultural Institute in Munchen, there will be a presentation of Antonella Lattanzi‘s book Questo giorno che incombe, published in Italy by Harper Collins and currently being published in Germany by Penguin Randomhouse. The author will be present.

Published in Italy in 2021 and winner, in the same year, of the Scerbanenco Prize, Questo giorno che incombe is loosely based on a real-life news event: the disappearance of a little girl, in Bari, in the building where the author grew up. With a passionate and intense language, and a gripping rhythm that leaves the reader breathless, Questo giorno che incombe tells of Francesca who, from Milan, moves to a residential area on the outskirts of Rome with her husband and two little girls. A happy family and a radiant, perfect life, in which a crack suddenly opens up, a tear, which little by little opens up to reveal, in a continuous crescendo, the abysses of the human soul.
