On the outskirts of Albany, in an early 20th-century villa surrounded by lush greenery, twelve-year-old Adam Green has an extraordinary talent: he knows plants as if they were old friends. Amid pots, climbing plants, and botanical secrets, his workshop is a living, surprising microcosm. By his side is Aunt Julie, a rock-’n’-roll cop – impulsive and stubborn – who has been chasing a mysterious gang of jewel thieves for months, a gang that’s bringing the city to its knees. When the investigation hits a dead end, Julie realizes that the key to the case might be hidden right among the leaves, roots, and pollen.
