Gli altri colori dell’arcobaleno. Fatiche e gioie dell’omogenitorialità
by Trevisan, Federico Lupo
For some, the desire to have children is not merely a rational thought, an idea, or a life plan, but an impulse that lives in the flesh. For same-sex parents in particular, this drive becomes a choice with many implications – social, medical, and psychological – a winding path that springs from profound questions: “Why do we want to become parents? Is it really our right to have children at all costs? How far can we go?”.
Federico Lupo Trevisan, a psychologist and psychotherapist, recounts the reality of the same-sex-parent families they have met and supported over years of work, portraying them in all their shades: from the bright colours of joy and discovery to the darker ones of suffering in the face of obstacles that seem insurmountable.
In these pages, Trevisan gives voice to parents and children, and also to those who take part in their concrete and symbolic world: grandmothers and grandfathers, teachers, doctors, public officials, and people of faith. Woven together, these voices offer perspectives that open a space for reflection on ourselves, our society, and the road still ahead.
