Milano adagio. A spasso per la città a ritmo lento

by Monestiroli, Teresa
Milano adagio. A spasso per la città a ritmo lento

Milan is a metropolis that runs tirelessly toward the new—an ever-open construction site that churns out hours of work, a spread of cultural festivals, and rounds of tables in fashionable restaurants. But all of this can, at times, be exhausting and even overwhelming. Five years after the first edition, Teresa Monestiroli returns to bookstores to guide us through the Italian city that, more than any other, is constantly changing and experimenting. This is neither a manual with a checklist of must-sees nor an intimate diary of the streets where she was born and raised; rather, it is a deliberately non-exhaustive guide to “her” city, inviting readers to explore its quieter, lesser-known sides—to turn down the volume on the days and offer restorative pauses. Whether you are Milanese in search of calm or visitors who prefer side doors, Milan Adagio gives you the pleasure of losing yourself in the city’s elegant slowness, and of finding, at every corner, a little of yourself.
