Il gigante e il cavaliere si conobbero da piccoli,
l’uno di soli tre metri, l’altro con biondi boccoli.
Ognuno viveva nella sua bella città,
ma si incontravano di sera nel punto a metà.
Un racconto in rima che ha il sapore di una fiaba classica e la forza di quella gioventù consapevole di essere nel giusto.
La storia di una amicizia profonda capace di superare le guerre e il tempo.

Michele Marchitto (Roma, 1971) vive e lavora a Torino. Diplomato allo IED di Torino, si è occupato di gestione aziendale per oltre 20 anni. La passione per il fumetto e le storie illustrate lo ha però seguito fino a quando la scrittura pura non si è impossessata di lui.
Erika De Pieri esordisce nel 2005 come autrice di fumetti ottenendo la menzione come miglior esordiente al premio Carlo Boscarato 2006. Prosegue poi come autrice e illustratrice per l’infanzia inaugurando nel 2009 una lunga collaborazione con Lavieri. Ai lavori di illustrazione per DeAgostini, Paoline, Dami, Nuinui editions, Mondadori.
The Giant and the Knight
“The giant and the knight first met when they were kids,
one was only three metres tall, the other had blond locks.
They both lived in their own beautiful town,
but they met in the evening at the halfway point”.
A tale that has the flavour of a classic fairy tale and the strength of youth aware of being right.
The two friends are reunited after the war, the knight will look after the wounded giant and remain by his side until snow covers them. When spring awakens and snow has melted, in place of the two friends you can still spot a hill with a small tree on top.

Michele Marchitto (Rome, 1971) lives and works in Turin. A graduate of the IED in Turin, he worked in business management for over 20 years. His passion for comics and illustrated stories, however, continued until pure writing took hold of him.
Erika De Pieri debuted as a comic book author in 2005, receiving a mention as best newcomer at the 2006 Carlo Boscarato Award. She then continued as a children’s author and illustrator, beginning a long collaboration with Lavieri in 2009. Her illustrations have been published by DeAgostini, Paoline, Dami, Nuinui editions, and Mondadori.
Michele Marchitto (Roma, 1971) vive y trabaja en Turín. Tras licenciarse en el DIE de Turín, se dedicó a la gestión empresarial durante más de 20 años. Sin embargo, su pasión por los cómics y las historias ilustradas lo acompañó hasta que la escritura en estado puro se apoderó de él.
Erika De Pieri debutó en 2005 como autora de cómics y obtuvo una mención como mejor autora novel en el Premio Carlo Boscarato 2006. Posteriormente continuó su trayectoria como autora e ilustradora de literatura infantil, e inició en 2009 una larga colaboración con Lavieri. A esto se suman sus trabajos de ilustración para DeAgostini, Paoline, Dami, Nuinui editions y Mondadori.

Lavieri
Lavieri è nata nel 2004 e fin dagli esordi si è proposta in settori apparentemente lontani quali la Letteratura, i libri per l’infanzia e il fumetto. Libri uniti da uno sguardo comune sul mondo e l’editoria – quello proprio dell’editore – teso a diminuire la distanza tra la letteratura, come canonicamente intesa, e le sue forme illustrate.
Dal 2005 progetta e pubblica albi illustrati freschi e spesso divertenti, con illustrazioni originali. Un progetto editoriale per bambini e adulti, un piccolo aiuto per affrontare le avventure della vita quotidiana, a prescindere da maghi e streghe e da qualsiasi fuga, non solo in senso metaforico, ma dalla realtà. L’ironia in prima linea per divertirsi, imparare ed essere sbalorditi.
Ad oggi, il catalogo comprende oltre 65 titoli tradotti in 22 lingue ed è presenza costante nelle maggiori fiere internazionali.
Lavieri
Lavieri was founded in 2004 and, from the very beginning, has focused on seemingly unrelated fields such as literature, children’s books, and comics. These books are united by a shared perspective on the world and publishing—the publisher’s own—aimed at bridging the gap between literature, as traditionally understood, and its illustrated forms.
Since 2005, it has designed and published fresh and often entertaining picture books, with original illustrations. A publishing project for children and adults, a little help for navigating the adventures of everyday life, regardless of wizards and witches and any escape, not just metaphorically, but from reality. Irony is at the forefront, for fun, learning, and being amazed.
To date, the catalog includes over 65 titles translated into 22 languages and is a constant presence at major international fairs.

拉维耶里出版社成立于2004年，自创立之初便涉足文学、儿童读物与漫画。这些看似相去甚远的领域，之所以能统一在同一品牌之下，源于出版方对世界与出版事业所持有的共同理念，致力于缩小传统意义上的文学与其插画表现形式之间的距离。

Lavieri
Lavieri se fundó en 2004 y desde sus inicios se ha ofrecido en sectores aparentemente distantes como la literatura, los libros infantiles y los cómics. Libros unidos por una perspectiva compartida sobre el mundo y la edición —la del propio editor— tenían como objetivo reducir la brecha entre la literatura, tal como se entiende tradicionalmente, y sus formas ilustradas.
Desde 2005, diseña y publica libros ilustrados originales, novedosos y a menudo entretenidos. Un proyecto editorial para niños y adultos, una pequeña ayuda para afrontar las aventuras de la vida cotidiana, más allá de magos y brujas y de cualquier evasión, no solo metafórica, sino de la realidad. La ironía está en primer plano para divertirse, aprender y asombrarse.
Hasta la fecha, el catálogo incluye más de 65 títulos traducidos a 22 idiomas y tiene una presencia constante en las principales ferias internacionales.
