Tessa Tartassa, la nuova Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri, scoppia di energia, idee e passione politica. Ma cosa ci fa una bambina a capo di un governo? Come è successo? E soprattutto: è possibile? Pare di sì, e sembra anche che il mondo, visto da un metro e trenta di altezza, appaia diverso. La piccola Tessa si mette subito all’opera per cambiare le cose. Peccato che qualcuno cerchi di ostacolarla…
Susanna Mattiangeli è nata a Roma nel 1971. Ha studiato storia dell’arte, ha lavorato per il teatro. Si occupa di progetti per l’infanzia, laboratori di disegno, e tecniche narrative, collaborando con scuole, biblioteche e librerie. Ha pubblicato con molte case editrici italiane e nel 2018 è stata finalista al Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi con I numeri felici (Vànvere Edizioni) e ha vinto il Premio Andersen 2018 come “Miglior Scrittrice”. Nel 2021 è stata scelta come Children’s Laureate italiana per il biennio 2022-2024. Per Il Castoro ha pubblicato gli albi Come funziona la maestra e Avete visto Anna? – entrambi illustrati da Chiara Carrer – , Uno come Antonio (illustrato da Mariachiara Di Giorgio), la serie di Matita HB, illustrata da Rita Petruccioli, e Case rosse, disegnato da Rita Petruccioli. Vive a Roma.
Kanjano è un disegnatore di storie. Storie di realtà e storie di finzione, a fumetti e illustrate, per adulti e per bambini. Negli ultimi anni ha lavorato principalmente su progetti animati per la comunicazione, come storyboard artist e visual designer. Tiene corsi presso la NABA e lo IED di Milano e il NID di Perugia.
Tess for President
The fierce Tess Hardnose has just won the general election: she is the new President. She has big plans for the future, but unfortunately not all of them shine with honesty. The morning after her victory, however, she wakes up and… she has turned into a child again! Help! How can a little girl rule the country? But little Tess has no doubts: she can do it just fine. And she sets to work straight away with a few hilarious changes of plan… Too bad someone is trying to get in her way!
Susanna Mattiangeli was born in Rome in 1971. She studied art history and worked in theater. She is involved in children’s projects, drawing workshops, and storytelling techniques, collaborating with schools, libraries, and bookstores. She has published with many Italian publishing houses, and in 2018 she was a finalist for the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi with I numeri felici (Vànvere Edizioni) and won the 2018 Andersen Prize for “Best Writer.” In 2021, she was named the Italian Children’s Laureate for the 2022–2024 term. For Il Castoro, she has published the picture books Come funziona la maestra and Avete visto Anna?– both illustrated by Chiara Carrer – Uno come Antonio (illustrated by Mariachiara Di Giorgio), the Matita HB series, illustrated by Rita Petruccioli, and Case rosse, illustrated by Rita Petruccioli. She lives in Rome.
Kanjano is a storyteller. He creates stories based on reality and works of fiction, in comic book and illustrated formats, for both adults and children. In recent years, he has primarily worked on animated projects for communication, as a storyboard artist and visual designer. He teaches courses at NABA and IED in Milan and at NID in Perugia.
Susanna Mattiangeli nació en Roma en 1971. Estudió historia del arte y trabajó en el ámbito teatral. Desarrolla proyectos infantiles, talleres de dibujo y técnicas narrativas, en colaboración con escuelas, bibliotecas y librerías. Ha publicado con numerosas editoriales italianas y en 2018 fue finalista del Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi con Los números felices (Vànvere Edizioni) y ganó el Premio Andersen 2018 como «Mejor Escritora». En 2021 fue nombrada Children’s Laureate italiana para el bienio 2022 – 2024. Para Il Castoro publicó los álbumes Cómo trabaja la maestra y ¿Has visto a Anna? –ambos ilustrados por Chiara Carrer–, Uno como Antonio (ilustrado por Mariachiara Di Giorgio), la serie Lápiz HB , ilustrada por Rita Petruccioli, y Casas Rojas, dibujada por Rita Petruccioli. Reside en Roma.
Kanjano es ilustrador de cuentos. Relatos que combinan realidad y ficción, en cómic y en formato ilustrado, para adultos y niños. En los últimos años ha trabajado principalmente en proyectos de animación para la comunicación, como artista de storyboard y diseñador visual. Imparte cursos en NABA e IED en Milán y en NID en Perugia.
