Lyon: Italissimo 2026, literature and culture festival

The Italian literature and culture festival Italissimo is back to Lyon.

From 1 to 4 October 2025, there will be a series of events, readings and screenings, with the participation of many Italian authors.

The Italissimo festival is an event held under the patronage of theItalian Embassy in France. Organised by the ILLICO association, the festival is moving to Lyon with the special support of Castaldi Partners and thanks to the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute in Lyon, the Consulate General of Italy in Lyon, the Lyon 2nd arrondissement council, the Villa Gillet, and the bookshops L’Œil Cacodylate and Lucciola Vagabonda.

Among the authors present at the Festival are Francesca Melandri, Giorgio Vasta and Alessandra Selmi. The Festival poster was designed by artist Lorenzo Mattotti.
