Furia

by Martina, Andrea
Furia

Brindisi, 1981. Teo Furia is fifteen and a rising star on the local basketball scene. His older brother Carmine is a former racecar driver who, after being banned from official competitions, now makes his living taking part in illegal street races. Sports could offer both of them a chance for a better life, but instead becomes the scene of their downfall. Family is also a source of pain: their mother has died suddenly, and their dad, Silvan, pays little attention to his children. Everything collapses when Bruno, a criminal tied to Carmine’s past, is released from jail. The Sacra Corona Unita is on the rise. Will the family be torn apart forever? Or will the surname hold them together? Andrea Martina writes a fast-paced, gripping noir set beneath the sun of Southern Italy.
