Copenhagen: a day dedicated to Italian books translated into Danish
On Saturday 24 October 2026, from 12:00 to 16:00, the Italian Cultural Institute will open its doors for a day dedicated to Italian literature translated into Danish.
The 2026 edition, organised as part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, will be a day dedicated to contemporary Italian fiction translated into Danish. The programme will feature a mix of discussions with authors and translators, book presentations, professional development sessions and an informal space for meeting translators and publishers.
Several Danish publishers will be in attendance to present their publications, providing an opportunity for publishers, translators and Italy-loving readers to meet and exchange ideas. Throughout the day, a series of talks will take place on the Institute’s stage, moderated by Siri Rønne Christiansen.
Guests will include Beatrice Salvioni, author of La Malnata e La Malacarne, published in Danish by Grønningen 1, and Jacob Giese, translator of Nicoletta Verna’s I giorni di Vetro.
