Goodbye Irpinia

by Pilla Mike J.
Goodbye Irpinia

An ancient curse. A dark presence. A hostage country. Steve Caruso, an Italian-Canadian journalist, is sent to Montaguto, a small town in southern Italy where an eight-year-old boy has disappeared. A few days later, two thirty-year-olds disappear. In ’95 the traces of another boy, Luigi Altieri, were lost. The clues lead to the “Master Chapel”, a funerary monument where the disturbing portrait of an engineer who died in Toronto is kept. In the meantime, a mammoth landslide continues its descent towards the valley, bringing to the surface a dismal history.
