Agatha Christie, con l’aiuto di archeologhe del passato, proverà a ricostruirne la vita quotidiana, il ruolo che ricoprivano nella società e nell’economia del loro tempo.

Francesca Minen ha conseguito il dottorato in Scienze dell’antichità presso l’università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia. Ricercatrice in storia del Vicino Oriente antico, collabora con l’Università degli Studi di Udine.
Caterina Di Paolo ha studiato Filosofia del linguaggio a Venezia e Comunicazione e design per l’editoria all’ISIA di Urbino. Lavora come grafica, redattrice e illustratrice. Ha illustrato anche gli altri quattro titoli della serie Storie nella storia.

The Stories Within History series offers a fresh perspective on the past, one that intertwines the experiences of women and men, highlights relationships and differences, and contributes to building a better, shared world.
Agatha Christie, writer and archaeologist by passion, will guide children on a journey back to the origins of the ancient Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Indian, and Chinese civilisations. Together, we will discover how the earliest forms of writing were deciphered, and which women made their mark in the historical study of these river-based civilisations. Ancient records—written by men of the past and interpreted by men of the present—rarely take into account women and children. With the help of female archaeologists from history, Agatha Christie will attempt to reconstruct their daily lives, and the roles they played in the societies and economies of their time.

Francesca Minen holds a PhD in Ancient Sciences from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She is a researcher in the history of the Ancient Near East and collaborates with the University of Udine.
Caterina Di Paolo studied the Philosophy of Language in Venice and Publishing Communication and Design at ISIA in Urbino. She works as a graphic designer, editor and illustrator. She has also illustrated the other four titles in the Stories Within History series.
