Dove vanno le cose che crediamo di aver perso per sempre?
Questo è un “quaderno delle cose perdute”, un luogo simbolico in cui custodire e ritrovare tutto ciò che ci manca: persone, luoghi, animali, sentimenti e perfino ciò che non abbiamo mai ricevuto, come un mazzo di fiori.

Concita De Gregorio è giornalista e scrittrice; firma storica del quotidiano “la Repubblica”, ha lavorato per “Clarín”, per “El País”, e ha diretto “l’Unità” dal 2008 al 2011. Ha ideato e condotto programmi per la radio e la tv, tra i quali Cactus, Fuoriroma, Pane quotidiano. Tra le sue pubblicazioni si ricordano: Non lavate questo sangue (2001), Una madre lo sa. Tutte le ombre dell’amore perfetto (2006), Malamore. Beatrice Alemagna, autrice e illustratrice bolognese, studia grafica a Urbino; sviluppa nel tempo un linguaggio narrativo personale e fortemente riconoscibile. Nel 1996 viene premiata al Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse di Montreuil; nel 1997 si trasferisce a Parigi dove oggi vive e lavora. Pubblica oltre quaranta titoli con editori di spicco. Ha ricevuto numerosi premi tra cui la Golden Medal della Society of Illustrators nel 2017 e nel 2024, mentre i suoi libri sono selezionati dal “New York Times” e dal “New York City Library” fra i dieci migliori libri per gli anni 2017 e 2019. È del marzo 2023 la mostra retrospettiva Le cose preziose. L’ostinata ricerca di Beatrice Alemagna, curata da Hamelin a Bologna. Lo stesso anno riceve La Grande Ourse, riconoscimento alla carriera del Salone del libro di Parigi. Among a Million Frogs and Butterflies
Where do the things we believe we have lost forever go?
This is a “notebook of lost things,” a symbolic place to keep and find again everything we miss: people, places, animals, feelings, and even things we never received, like a bouquet of flowers. De Gregorio explores the theme of loss in a poetic and evocative way, suggesting that what is absent is not lost forever. Through words and images, she invites readers to reflect on how absence can be filled by memory and imagination, transforming pain into a form of inner presence. What we long for, what we have lost is inside of us, it makes us whole.
Beatrice Alemagna’s illustrations enhance the text, creating a visual dialogue that turns the book into a sensory and emotional experience. Each page is a fragment that evokes memories, emotions, and sensations, forming a delicate and profound mosaic.

Concita De Gregorio is a journalist and writer; a long-time columnist for the daily newspaper La Repubblica, she has worked for Clarín, El País, and served as the director of L’Unità from 2008 to 2011. She has created and hosted radio and TV programs, including Cactus, Fuoriroma, and Pane quotidiano. Among her publications, notable works include: Malamore. Beatrice Alemagna is an author and illustrator. She was born in Bologna, she studied graphic design in Urbino. In 1996, she was awarded at the Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse in Montreuil; in 1997, she moved to Paris, where she still lives and works. She has published over forty titles with leading publishers. Her work has earned numerous awards, including the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators in 2017 and 2024. Her books were selected by The New York Times and The New York City Library among the ten best books of 2017 and 2019. In 2023 she received La Grande Ourse, a lifetime achievement award from the Paris Book Fair. For ten consecutive years, she has been nominated for the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, the Nobel Prize for children’s literature.

贝阿特丽切・阿莱马尼亚，博洛尼亚作家兼插画师，曾在乌尔比诺学习平面设计，逐渐形成极具个人辨识度的叙事风格。1996年获蒙特勒伊青少年图书展奖项，1997年移居巴黎，并在此生活工作至今。她曾与顶尖出版社合作出版超40部作品，并斩获多项大奖，包括2017年与2024年美国插画师协会金奖，其作品多次被《纽约时报》与纽约公共图书馆选为2017、2019年度十佳童书。2023年3月，在博洛尼亚举办了由阿梅林策划的回顾展《珍贵之物：贝阿特丽切・阿莱马尼亚的执着追寻》，同年获巴黎书展“大棕熊奖”终身成就荣誉。她连续十年入围林格伦纪念奖（儿童文学界的诺贝尔奖），为费尔特里内利出版社绘制了康奇塔・德・格雷戈里奥的《在一百万只青蛙与蝴蝶间：遗失之物去向何方》（2024）。
