London: The Italian Female Noir, with Grazia Verasani

On 24 June 2025, at 6.30 p.m., at the Italian Cultural Institute in London, writer Grazia Verasani will talk to journalist Paola De Carolis on the theme “Italian Female Noir ”.
Grazia Verasani was born in a Bologna, where she lives. She has written novels, plays, scripts and music. She has published 21 books so far, in different literary genres, and she is considered the pioneer of female noir writers in Italy. Her novel Quo vadis baby? (Tascabile Feltrinelli) is a noir that has been adapted for cinema by Gabriele Salvatores and also for a tv series for SKY. Her books are translated in several countries including France, Germany, Russia, Portugal and the US. Many of her short stories are included in Italian and foreign collections. She contributes to magazines, including Linus, and daily newspapers. She has written several scripts. In 2022 she has written the podcast Babylon Dalhia produced by Chora media, available on Audible. Among other books, she has written Non ho molto tempo , the story of her friendship with the late musician Ezio Bosso, Hotel Madridda and, most recently, Iris di notte (2025) all published by Marsilio.
