La felicità dello spettatore. Lezioni di estetica fenomenologica
by De Monticelli, Roberta, Forlè, Francesca
How do you listen to music? How do you look at a painting? How do you read a poem? How do you watch a film or a play? How do you explore a virtual reality installation? Phenomenology teaches us to experience everything in the most appropriate and enjoyable way, i.e. in a way that is suited to that type of thing, to how it asks to be experienced. These lessons propose an aesthetic from the point of view of someone sitting in the audience or reading a novel – and allowing themselves to be read. But in addition to being a discipline of sensory and affective contemplation, phenomenology is also a passion for well-founded distinctions, capable of confronting the most demanding analytical philosophy: what distinguishes the worlds of art and their experience? Is there something they all have in common? And finally: beauty will not save the world, which today destroys more than it creates; but is there something that makes it essential – at least for our lives?
