Diabolik, ambassador of Italian excellence around the world

Diabolik, one of the most famous characters in Italian comics, has been chosen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as a symbol of Italian excellence around the world.

Astorina, the character’s publisher, has released Diabolik – Italia, che meraviglia! (Diabolik – Italy, how wonderful!), a volume in four languages – Italian, English, French and Spanish – intended for the Diplomatic-Consular Network and Italian Cultural Institutes abroad.

Written by Tito Faraci and Mario Gomboli and illustrated by some of Italy’s best-known artists, including Giorgio Cavazzano, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Silvia Ziche, Elena Casagrande and Lelio Bonaccorso, the ten short stories that make up the anthology are set in Venice, Milan, Rome, Matera and Naples. The volume will be previewed at Milan Games Week & Cartoomics 2025, scheduled to take place at Fiera Milano Rho from 28 to 30 November 2025.
