L’ultimo respiro

by Martinuzzi, Luigi
L’ultimo respiro

Springfield, Massachusetts. FBI agent John Bay is trying to regain a sense of balance after years of torment and insomnia, struggling to move beyond the grief of losing his wife. At work, his friendship and partnership with colleague Simon Lower seem to restore a measure of calm.
But the fragile peace is shattered when the body of a young woman is discovered in Forest Park, accompanied by a chilling message. John immediately understands this is no isolated incident: a serial killer is at large—and has no intention of stopping.
Teamed with the volatile agent Tommy Banks, John follows a trail of clues that draws him ever closer to a ruthless and unpredictable enemy, while his own inner demons threaten to overwhelm him. Forced to confront the darkest corners of the human mind, John must summon every ounce of strength to stop the figure plotting in the shadows—and prevent more lives from being torn apart.
