Il mercante d’arte
by Speranza, Pietro
In September 1990, in a villa overlooking the sea of Cilento, the renowned violinist Liborio Ansaldi is found dead. The investigation is entrusted to Marshal Francesco Di Matteo and Commissioner Silvia Maggi, bound by an intense romantic relationship that intertwines with their investigative work. What initially appears to be a crime rooted in the musical world soon turns into a web of passions, rivalries, and economic interests. Amid enigmatic scores, coded symbols, and missing works of art, the inquiry expands to brush against ancient brotherhoods and hidden trafficking, set in a southern landscape suspended between tradition and modernity.
