Saint Faustina’s diary has inspired the author to write meditations and reflections which, drawing on certain aspects of the spirituality of Divine Mercy, are adapted to our times. These meditations also include three short catechesis sessions that the author delivered to the “Apostles of Divine Mercy” Association in Lecce. The cult of Faustina Kowalska, a Polish-born saint at the centre of a widespread popular devotion, has taken on particular importance since John Paul II established Divine Mercy Sunday, the first Sunday after Easter.

Zampa, Saverio
Saverio Zampa is a religious belonging to the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. From 2002 to 2009, he served as chaplain at the Shrine of Lourdes, where he was in charge of the Youth Ministry. He was rector of the Church of Christ the King in Lecce, a centre for the spirituality of Divine Mercy. He is currently chaplain at the University of Salento in Lecce.
