Dammi un fiume di sangue
by Vicenzi, Carlo
The Cataclysm has destroyed the Empire. The High Houses of the city of Alioth have barricaded themselves in their residences, abandoning the people to their fate. The common folk know only that tears rain down from the sky and that, when night falls, shapeless monsters devour the less fortunate. Hein is a warrior with superhuman speed, yet he refuses to take the lives of others. Déa is a woman of iron will, determined to protect those she loves. Brother and sister, fighting to restore order to a world that increasingly resembles a nightmare. But what if, to do so, they had to sacrifice their very bond? But their story begins long before the Cataclysm, when Hein and Déa were just children forced to steal to fill their bellies… “He pressed his sword to his sister’s throat. A single flick of the wrist would have been enough. A simple gesture. A moment. But moments were the gift that Adonai had granted him.”

Vicenzi, Carlo
Carlo Vicenzi’s CV includes pursuits such as black magic, necromancy and communion with cosmic horrors. If he lived in a fantasy world, he would certainly be the Dark Lord whom the heroes must defeat. But, unfortunately for him, he lives in Emilia-Romagna and so confines himself to writing about other worlds, rather than conquering them. Carlo has one particular passion: creating stories in which the protagonists evolve from being small and frightened into the heroes the world needs, overcoming a thousand obstacles. Because we have all been frightened children, at least once in our lives, and we all need to become heroes in our own right. On social media, he talks about books and campaigns for fantasy and science fiction literature to be given the respect it deserves.
