L’epoca dell’intranquillità. Lettera alle nuove generazioni

by Benasayag, Miguel, Cohen, Teodoro
L’epoca dell’intranquillità. Lettera alle nuove generazioni

Young generations, today, grow up knowing the world is in constant destruction: extinction, risk of extinction for most species, natural disasters, climate change, pollution, pandemics, etc. Sadness, fear, anxiety have entered our bodies, even children’s bodies. How can we act and think in this chaos? How can we live through this tragic era?
The Argentine philosopher and psychoanalyst Miguel Benasayag, and the young graduate at the Sorbonne Teodoro Cohen, member of the Collectif Malgré Tout, tried to answer at this questions. «This letter to young people is intended as a gesture of friendship, a helping hand to those who will experience, more than anyone else, the consequences of a dark world.»
Rejecting apocalyptic and depressive tendencies that declare that everyting is over, the authors try to understand where life continues.
Developing alternatives, creating new ways to live and to relationate with the others and the reality: a book to lend a hand to those who, feeling deeply the world and the era, prefers to not fight.
