Kids have shorter legs and more discerning eyes than adults: they advance with small steps and they often stops. Baby steps series are trekking guides for families with children, and the authors have tested them with their daughter Nora. Their work is therefore the result of experience and experiments done with, and for, their daughter. At the beginning of every book the authors give advices about how to move, clothing, safety, hygiene and meals. For each itinerary there are the description of the location and some curiosities about it. Difficulties, distances, the climb, the time taken and the ideal time of the year are given. In addition the authors signal the numbers to call and where to go in case of emergency. This book explores Piedmont.
Annalisa Porporato and Franco Voglino are photographers and keen on trekking. They write for travelling, outdoor and family magazines. Since their daughter was born, they have been testing and creating itineraries for families, all gathered in the book series Baby steps.
