Broom and glue, up and down the ladder, Piero’s job is to put up bill posters and, with skill and mastery, he recomposes the pieces of the great advertising posters around the city. Even when his son Giovanni, 11 years old, runs away from home because he can’t take his parents’ continuous “no’s” any more, the bill-poster man, faithful to his duty, decides to go to work against everyone’s opinion. No one imagines that Piero, with the help of a couple of colleagues, has devised an unusual plan to show the child how much he loves him and convince him to come back home…


Bruno Tognolini (1951) has written children’s books, songs, scripts for theatre and popular TV shows. He won two Andersen awards and published with Gallucci Le filastrocche della Melevisione, Rime del fare e non fareNidi di note. Gianni De Conno (1957-2017) was a painter and screenwriter. His books for children and adults won prestigious awards such as the Gold Medal of the Society of Illustrators in New York.
