Contro Golia. Manifesto per la sovranità democratica

We are facing a new rebellion of the masses. It is motivated. This book makes it clear that it should not be stigmatized, but understood. And it shows how only a new democratic revolution can give rise to a policy of social and cultural emancipation that breaks with the ‘inglorious thirty years’ of finance-capitalism. A state that governs the economy, based on effective popular sovereignty, capable of promoting new policies for social rights, is the main way to integrate the masses while avoiding their passivization. This project implies the uncompromising liquidation of technocratic market absolutism, but also of the illusions cultivated by liberalism after 1989: both have unleashed a real war against the popular classes. It is time to react with an ambitious design that overcomes subalternity and accommodation through a political culture of rupture. This book is therefore meant to be a provocation, to put an end to the clichés of neoliberalism, oligarchic Europeanism and the conformist chatter of the media system. A ‘slingshot’ against the single thinking of ‘there is no alternative,’ the end of politics, the domination of elites and the repression of all critical thinking. A manifesto for democratic sovereignty that can defeat all the Goliaths of our time.
