From Helsinki: Leonardo Sciascia and Finland

On 23 February 2022, at 6 p.m. (local time), at the Italian Cultural Institute of Helsinki, lecture by Antonio Donato Sciacovelli (University of Turku).

The Lezione sciasciana in Helsinki will be introduced by Patrizia Gambarotta, director of the Italian Cultural Institute, and moderated by Francesco Sturiale, Honorary Consul of Italy in Turku.

Lezioni sciasciane nel mondo  is an initiative promoted by the National Committee of the Sciascia Centenary, led by Senator Emma Bonino and by the Association of Leonardo Sciascia’s Friends, in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia and the Istituto per l’Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The lecture will take place in Italian and will be streamed on the facebook pages of the Italian Cultural Institute of Helsinki with cross posting on the facebook pages of the Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, the Associazione Amici di Leonardo Sciascia, the review Todomodo and the Olschki publishing house.
