Fuga dal Paradiso

by De Martino, Sara
Fuga dal Paradiso

In the second half of the 1950s, in Genoa, there lives a young girl named Lilli, who is different from all her sisters: she is a tomboy and does not like to obey rules. She feels suffocated within the walls of her home. Everything changes the day Lilli meets Ida, a young delinquent working for a mysterious woman named Salomè, and her gang of Randagi. For the first time in her life, Lilli feels truly accepted by this new, exciting and adventurous world, while her friendship with Ida slowly turns into something stronger and more complex. But soon Lilli and Ida realise that they have not found freedom at all, but have instead fallen into a trap. They will have to devise a foolproof plan to escape. Recommended reading age: 13 years and up.
