Umberto Guidoni (Rome, 18 August 1954) is an Italian astronaut, astrophysicist and writer. He has par- ticipated in two NASA missions aboard the Space Shuttle. In 2001 he was the first European astronaut to visit the International Space Station. He is also a successful author of books for both adults and children.
