Athens: new edition of the Intersezioni Award
With the new edition, Italy-Greece sees the return of the Intersezioni Award, with which the Centre for Books and Reading (CEPELL) relaunches the project, reaffirming in Athens the strategic role of translation as a privileged tool for the circulation of works and ideas.
Promoted by the Centre for Books and Reading of the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in Athens, the Award marks a decisive step forward. The new formula provides for the awarding of three prizes, replacing the original structure which envisaged a single winner. This choice broadens the opportunities for the dissemination of contemporary Italian fiction and enhances its plurality. The Greek edition also inaugurates a new phase of the project, conceived as an ongoing and itinerant initiative, destined to develop in other countries thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the network of Italian Cultural Institutes.
