to take place at the 2026 Shanghai Book Fair

Call for applications from publishers and literary agents

Following the success of the first edition, which saw the participation of over seventy publishers and agents, newitalianbooks is issuing a new call for applications for the 2nd edition of the digital showcase in Chinese, aimed at promoting Italian children’s books worldwide, and in particular in China.

newitalianbooks, with the support of Treccani and the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai, and in collaboration with the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, will organise a digital showcase in Chinese dedicated to new Italian children’s books: the showcase will go online on newitalianbooks to coincide with the 13th edition of the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (13th–15th November 2026).

Italian publishers and literary agencies wishing to take advantage of this opportunity (entirely free of charge) must confirm their participation and send their book details to: redazione@newitalianbooks.it no later than 23:00 on 25th May 2026, in accordance with the procedures set out in the China 2026 Call for Entries.
