From Los Angeles. Francesca da Rimini: The Story of a Myth

On 11 March, the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles will host a video-meeting with Ferruccio Farina, founder and coordinator of the Centro Internazionale di Studi Francesca da Rimini, and Massimo Ciavolella, Distinguished Professor of Italian Studies, Department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies, UCLA.

The meeting will include the presentation of Farina’s book, Francesca da Rimini: storia di un mito (Maggioli Editore, 2019), which recreates the story and depictions of Francesca da Rimini from the fourteenth century to the present day.

The conversation will be pre-recorded and broadcast on the Institute’s YouTube channel. The event has been organised by the Institute in collaboration with the University of California, Los Angeles, and the Centro Internazionale di Studi Francesca da Rimini.
