From Paris: a look at the literature of migration. A generational comparison.
17 January 2022. 19.00 Italian Cultural Institute
In recent decades, Italian literature has been enriched by contributions from other languages and cultures, including those of its former colonies. This constantly evolving landscape is characterised by the presence of writers of different generations, who have different views of Italy: of its history, of its society and of its capacity to open up and transform itself. Ubah Cristina Ali Farah (author of Madre piccola, Il comandante del fiume, Le stazioni della luna), Livia Apa(University of Naples, L’Orientale), Anna Frabetti (University of Strasbourg), Djarah Kan (author of Ladri di denti) will discuss this topic.
