From Paris: WIR, a new European publishing label

On Saturday 12th March 2022, at the Centre Pompidou bookshop in Paris, the first title published by WIR will be presented. WIR is a new European publishing label resulting from an agreement between the publishing houses Wolff Verlag in Berlin, Italo Svevo in Trieste and RiveNeuve in Paris:

Il riccio e altre bestiarietà by Carlo Alberto Parmeggiani and Roland Cailleux, published simultaneously in France by Riveneuve and in Italy by Italo Svevo. The German edition will be published shortly. All WIR volumes will be printed in Vicenza.

Roland Cailleux (1908-1980), with the erudite language of a Renaissance chronicler, offers a burlesque evocation of the world of animals in his novels. His bestiary resonates with that of Carlo Alberto Parmeggiani (1949) and renews the association between the two writers, who had once met in Paris at the Bibliothèque Nationale.
