Marseille: Alice Urciuolo, <i>Adoration</i>

On 22 January 2026, at 6.30 pm, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Marseille, there will be a presentation of the book Adoration in the presence of the author, in collaboration with Éditions de Grenelles.

Moderator: Federica Gianni, professor of Italian at Aix Marseille University and researcher in contemporary Italian literature.

The novel has been translated into French by Linda Kochbati (Éditions Grenelle, Paris).

Adoration, the first novel by Alice Urciuolo, courageously and sensitively explores the complexity of adolescence and the weight of patriarchal values that still influence young people’s lives. Alice Urciuolo, born in Priverno in 1994, is an Italian writer and screenwriter. Her first novel, Adoration, a finalist for the 2021 Premio Strega, was made into a Netflix series in 2024. Her second novel, La verità che ci riguarda, was published in 2023.
