Milan: Book Pride 2023
What translation aids exist for Italian books, including prizes, grants, residencies and summer schools, and how do they work? What is new in the 2023 edition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s call for translations, and what is new in the Centre for Books and Reading’s call for translations? Why a podcast, produced by Storielibere.fm, to “translate” Italian publishing into four languages?
On Friday 10 March, at 2.30 p.m., within the BookPride independent publishing fair in Milan (at SuperStudio Maxi), which this year is dedicated to the theme No place is far away, there will be the meeting “Podcast awards and promotion: Farnesina and Cepell for Italian books in the world” (Honolulu Room). Participants will include Angelo Piero Cappello, director of the Centre for Books and Reading, Laura Pugno, cultural director at Maeci, Maria Teresa Carbone, writer and journalist, author for the Farnesina of the podcast “Alfabeto italiano” and Rossana De Michele, founder and CEO of Storielibere.fm, producer of Alfabeto italiano.
