Il dolore dell’analista. Dolore psichico e metodo psicoanalitico
by Lupinacci, Maria Adelaide, Biondo, Daniele, Accetti, Laura, Galeota, Mirella, Lucattini, Adelia
Built upon the results and research of a specially formed working group, this study begins with an introduction to the theme of pain as a psychic event and explores the connections between the pain that the patient brings (or is unable to bring) into the analytic situation, the emotional response of the analyst to the patient’s pain, and the analyst’s own pain. These are framed within their fundamental evolutionary function within the psychoanalytic method, in relation to adult patients, adolescents, and children.
