This essay talks about racism. How this cultural clash has surfaced in US comics production from 1934 to the present day. The author examined comics published from 1934 to 2014. The reference to the Second World War was fundamental, which led publishers to publish stories characterized by an integrationist perspective. The author also illustrates the 1960s, characterized by the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, by the Civil Rights of 1964 and by the struggle led by leaders like Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, where other publishers such as Marvel begin to offer positive black characters like Black Panther, Luke Cage and Falcon.
