The essays in this volume explore the biographical, human, scientific, and academic profiles of Bernardo Bernardi, Ugo Bianchi, Teobaldo Filesi, Vinigi L. Grottanelli, and Italo Signorini. Though following different paths – as distinguished professors at the Pontifical Urbaniana University – they have all contributed to the consolidation of knowledge, ethical and didactic perspectives in vital and decisive disciplines such as the history of religions, history of Africa, ethnology as well as to the general relationships among history, cultures, and religions.
