Ptak 19, abitante di Saturno, era sempre stato un bravo missile. Non era difficile, bastava sfrecciare lassù in mezzo agli altri missili senza colpirli. È bello vivere tra le stelle e Ptak 10 è sempre felice anche mentre fa la sua manutenzione, oppure mentre osserva tutti quei pianeti che sembrano palloncini appesi, perché sa di possedere la più bella coda infuocata di tutto il firmamento… All’improvviso viene colto da un colpo di fulmine, e si innamora di una pompa idraulica sulla Terra. L’amore lo rende più sensibile e Ptak 19 dovrà frenare il suo impeto, moderare la sua velocità ed imparare i ritmi del pianeta Terra per continuare a vedere la sua amata.
Messaggio: l’Autore vuole comunicare al lettore un messaggio ottimista: tutti possono amare/amarsi nonostante le apparenze. Il contesto in cui si sviluppa la storia è poco consueto e permette al lettore di astrarsi totalmente dalla realtà sollecitando molti interrogativi anche filosofici su cosa c’è oltre il nostro mondo.

Ptak 19. A love story from space
Ptak 19, inhabitant of Saturn, had always been a good and fair rocket. It wasn’t difficult, just darting up there among the other rockets without hitting them. It’s nice to live among the stars and Ptak 19 is always happy even while doing his maintenance, or while observing all those planets that look like hanging balloons. Why? because he knows he has the most beautiful flaming tail in the whole firmament… Suddenly he is struck by a “thunderbolt”, love at first sight, and falls in love with a water pump on Earth. Love makes him more sensitive and Ptak 19 will have to curb his impetus, moderate his speed and learn the rhythms of planet Earth to continue seeing his beloved.
Message: the author wants to communicate an optimistic message to the reader: everyone can love/love oneself despite appearances. The context in which the story unfolds is unusual and allows the reader to totally abstract himself from reality, raising many que- stions, including philosophical ones, about what lies beyond our world.
Gek Tessaro is an art teacher, multifaceted author and illustrator of children’s books. Gifted with great communication skills, for years he has led image education workshops, animated readings and meetings with teachers in schools, libraries, museums and cultural events throughout Italy.
