Nel cuore dei misteri. Inchiesta sull’uccisione di tre missionarie nel Burundi delle impunità
It is the afternoon of September 7, 2014. Two elderly Italian missionaries, Olga Raschietti and Lucia Pulici, are found horribly massacred in their home. The police surround the building to ensure its safety. In the middle of the night, despite the presence of the agents, a third Xaverian missionary, Bernadette Boggian, was also killed. The fact, due to its brutality and the age of the consecrated women, went around the world, arousing horror. Within a few hours, the Burundian police arrested a psychiatric patient, who confessed. The international clamor subsides. January 2015: the Burundian radio RPA, the most followed in the country, broadcasts the voice of a man who claims to be one of the nuns\’ killers and indicates the head of the Burundian secret services, General Adolphe Nshimirimana, as the instigator of the operation. The spotlights come back on.
