Nella spirale di Fermat

by Tondini, Gianfranco
Nella spirale di Fermat

Wainer and Sara were together for many years before illness separated them. Now they live far from each other, though both still work in the art world.

Wainer is a provincial gallerist involved in an art project in which he has disastrously invested everything he owns. To escape his debts, he slips into the shadowy world of forgery, to the point of committing the paradoxical act of counterfeiting an authentic artwork.

Sara holds a senior position at the UNESCO office in Lyon, and every thought she has is devoted to managing her illness and to her work, to which she dedicates herself with complete self-sacrifice. Until she is suddenly—and entirely inappropriately, given her expertise—assigned to handle the aftermath of a Rembrandt painting theft, a case that will reveal a vast and poisonous threat.

Written with a gripping plot that spans action novel and crime thriller, Nella spirale di Fermat explores the contemporary art world in its most extreme—and perhaps least known—aspects.
