Serra, Tetsugen
Tetsugen Serra, born in Milan in 1953, is a Zen monk of the Sōtō tradition for over forty years. Ordained at the Tosho-ji Monastery in Tokyo, he later founded six temples in Italy, where he is the spiritual Master. He is a member of the board of the Italian Buddhist Union and teaches in the Master’s program in Contemplative Studies at the University of Padua. He has published numerous books on meditation and Zen.
