A series of apparently unconnected crimes spreads through the city streets and countryside of Rimini. For vice-police officer Lombardi and his team, it is a very difficult skein to unravel. It is precisely behind the quiet figure of Professor Casagrande, a high school literature teacher, that the solution lies: it will lead to a foreign gang coordinating an unbelievable and heinous traffic of human lives. And the answer to the many mysteries that involve him comes from his new heart, a transplant that will have unpredictable implications. A gripping thriller with a breathtaking ending. Monuments and streets of Rimini provide the backdrop for a story in which the threshold between those who are victims and executioners is questionable until the very end.

Luca Cafaro, born in Galatina, has a degree in Motor Sciences and lives and teaches in Rimini. He published the historical thrillers Un sogno chiamato libertà (Neftasia Editore, 2011) and Nel nome della fede. Otranto 1480 (Robin Edizioni – 2017) with which he received several awards. Always attracted by mysticism, his novels are a journey between mystery and reality.
