Leo, thirteen years old and a rebel forelock, has a crush on Chiara, a Beatrice 2.0 who reaps hearts on social media, takes excellent grades and has her eyes on Federico the Cool-guy, while Leo has the bad reputation of the repeater, bad grades and a only friend. Viola is a new classmate: she wears black and often changes hair color, makes everyone uncomfortable with her impertinent questions and collects more notes than Leo. When they start collaborating on a school project, Leo finds out that the new girl is nice and cute, but a few days later Viola disappears from school. On social media there is an embarrassing photograph of the girl, and a new profile of her, where she spares no insults and offenses to her classmates. What happened? Who is Viola really? Is that hatred coming from her or is there something else behind it? Leo will do everything to get the answers, and will discover something unthinkable.
