Gli scherzi della vita
by Piperno, Alessandro
On Christmas Eve morning, a miracle takes place that has nothing to do with faith. The most brilliant art critic of his generation, Ludovico Spinazzola – a sixty-yearold hedonist and cynic – wakes up in the ripped, desirable body of famous Hollywood star Ethan Kaffee. The shock he experiences is nothing compared with Ethan’s, who finds himself in Ludovico’s dapper clothes and body consumed by years of excess. Drawing on the trope of the body-swap comedy, Piperno constructs a novel that, with its tongue in its cheek, splices together two worlds that have nothing in common in an irresistible satire.
