Italian bookshops worldwide recommend… : Barcelona’s selection (Libreria Le Nuvole) 

From 2025 onwards, newitalianbooks is asking Italian booksellers all over the world to highlight the titles most in demand among their readers. With this initiative, newitalianbooks wants to strengthen the role of Italian booksellers abroad in promoting Italian books worldwide.

This month our guest bookshop is Le Nuvole Bookhop in Barcelona.

The independent bookshop Le Nuvole was founded in 2011 for an ever-growing community of Italians, but also for the local public who has always shown an interest in Italian literature. It is a cultural centre and an essential meeting place for those looking for the best of Italian literature abroad, including new publications and great classics. The catalogue ranges from novels, poetry, detective stories and non-fiction to graphic novels and a large section dedicated to children’s literature.

Every month there is a full programme of meetings with writers, conversation groups, reading clubs, writing workshops, theatre and junior workshops.

Since 2023, the cultural association Le Nuvole has organised the FLIB festival of Italian literature in Barcelona.

‘Italian bookshops worlwide recommend…’ is an initiative organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
