Cos’è la radioattività? Come funzionano le radiografie? Un viaggio a Parigi diventa per Andrea l’occasione di incontrare Marie Curie, la prima donna a vincere il premio Nobel, anzi a riceverne addirittura due. In questa nuova avventura Andrea accompagna la zia alla Sorbona, visita il Pantheon, sale sulla torre Eiffel, e intanto scopre i misteri del mondo atomico con la scienziata più famosa di tutti i tempi.
Silvia Merialdo è laureata in fisica nucleare. Dopo la laurea ha avuto diverse esperienze di ricerca scientifica nel Regno Unito e in Germania. La passione per il mondo del libro l’ha poi riportata in Italia e oggi lavora per la Zanichelli come redattrice di testi di fisica per la scuola. Nel tempo libero scrive guide di viaggio e legge centinaia di libri per bambini insieme a suo figlio.

What is radioactivity? How do X-rays work? A trip to Paris becomes an opportunity for Andrea to meet Marie Curie, the first woman who has received a Nobel Prize, or rather two. In this new adventure Andrea accompanies her aunt to the Sorbonne, visits the Pantheon, climbs the Eiffel Tower, and meanwhile discovers the mysteries of the atomic world with the most famous woman scientist of all time.
Silvia Merialdo has a degree in nuclear physics. After her degree, she was part of research groups both in the UK and Germany. But her passion for books led her back to Italy and she currently works for Zanichelli, where she is editor of physics books for schools. In her free time she writes travel guides and reads thousands of children books together with her son.
