Gente alla buona
by Grigolo, Mattia
In the rural province of northern Italy, the lives and destinies of three boys and their fathers are interrupted by two murders. As time stumbles in the face of the unexpected, three families and the new village priest, Don Maurizio, try to get their lives back on track after an event that has turned their world upside down. With a writing style reminiscent of the great Italian novelists of the 20th century and a structure reminiscent of contemporary cinema, Mattia Grigolo recounts the Italian province, a rural province of work and secrets, of fathers tied to the land and children who leave it, of ferocity and nostalgia.
